Exciting young cellist, Zachary Mowitz, presents a unique program of Fauré and Bernstein alongside pianist Connie Kim-Sheng Fried. Zach is a founder of Ensemble132 and a cellist with the Sakura Cello Quintet and the LA Philharmonic.

Pre-College Final Concert

The students of the Pre-College Program present a diverse program ranging from Brahms to Grieg to Wesley Chu.

Violin ensemble, cello ensemble, and the chamber orchestra will be performing works by Bohm and Grieg.

Soloists: Irene An, Lana Bui, Justin Chen, Wesley Leung, Elyse Mauer, Maxwell Tran, Fredrik Wong, and Eric Xu will be premiering an original composition by Wesley Chu alongside the chamber orchestra.

Benefit Concert: “Refractions”

Join us for a captivating evening of chamber music featuring two masterpieces of the repertoire: Schubert’s lyrical and joyful Trout Quintet and Tchaikovsky’s passionate Souvenir de Florence. This special program brings together pianist Connie Kim-Sheng Fried, cellist Ben Fried, and an exceptional ensemble of guest artists including Strauss Shi, Jing Peng, Ben Solomonow, Ziyang Low, Yuting Hsu, and more.

A raffle will be held during the event, and proceeds will support the full scholarship Pre-College Program.

The Living Room Sessions: ArcoStrum

The Living Room Sessions present ArcoStrum, an exciting violin/guitar duo made up of musicians Strauss Shi and Tengyue (TY) Zhang (who also happen to be Fried Music faculty artists!). The duo is a quickly rising artist on the scene, performing exciting programs ranging from Vivaldi to traditional Chinese music to Polyphia.
